EABC Business Forum and Reception

Our board director Sophia Demetriades Toftdahl attended the EU-Australia Trade and Investment Business Forum & Reception, which brought together key stakeholders to discuss the future of economic ties between Europe and Australia. Maria Martin-Prat, EU Deputy Director-General for Trade, joined the EABC following the EU-Australia Strategic Trade, Investment, and Economic Dialogue in Canberra to address priorities such as strengthening the bilateral relationship, advancing an ambitious EU-Australia FTA, and navigating global trade challenges.

The event also welcomed NSW Minister The Hon. Anoulack Chanthivong MP, whose portfolio covers trade, investment, industry, and innovation. His participation highlights the NSW Government’s commitment to deepening ties with Europe, fostering business opportunities, and exploring new avenues for cooperation.

Amid growing geopolitical and economic complexity, the forum reinforces the importance of strong, rules-based international trade and collaboration between trusted partners.
